This lovely machine is one of the few reel to reels which where made into a floor standing cabinet, making this recorder quite the rare find, you will not see many of these surviving. the HMV recorder uses an EMI Emicorder or TR-50 tape deck, this was the only reel to reel done by HMV which was in such a case, the EMI version of this recorder came in a small wooden case and is a lot easier to come by but still very rare. This machine is a must for any serious collector, it's overall condition is good and the recorder does play tapes, as usual I have taken high resolution pictures of the recorder and some video files to show the machines operation. |

Sorry, this one is a collection only, the recorder is too troublesome to pack and would probably not go well in the post, a hot cup of tea or coffee will be waiting for the lucky winner. | This machine is playing tapes but quietly, I have not tested the record function, the recorder will be sold as seen but upon collection I would be more than happy to demonstrate the recorder working as shown in the video files |
