 The Studer A810 is an exceptional recorder , one of the best reel to reel recorders you can buy, this machine shares many key electronics found in the later mastering machines such as the Studer A820 like the heads, record and replay cards and a similar complex MP unit control. This machine has been serviced and is working exceptionally well, the meters are very vibrant (Common problem is the red fades away), the machine has had the counter display modified to use blue 7-segment display and the unusual splice button has been installed on this machine.

The heads are in very good condition, below you can see pictures of the recorder from different angles, along with precision close up macro shots of the heads, face on and side view showing no major wear, clock on the images to see high resolution copies for that extra close look.

The overall look on the heads shows they are all in great condition, below you will see extreme close ups showing everything which is invisible to the naked eye, the replay and record head look worn but are not, these pictures are so detailed, you can actually make out the tape head gap.
