Studer A80 Pilot head block
   

 This sale is for a Studer A80 stereo head block fitted with the pilot tone recording head, the head block assembly comes with the Pilot tone read/write card, these additional electronics are suitable for writing the centre track synchronising signal necessary to mach the recordings done with either multiple machines or to other media such as video. The heads have been polished and look like new, I have tested them on a Studer A80RC and they are in excellent working order, these heads will fit other machines if taken out of their head block, such as the A807, B67, A810, A812 and A820. This headlock also comes with the rare splicing scissors, these are usually removed to prevent accidental splicing of the tape.
