TRD 1/s rare reel to reel

This is a rare recorder, the TRD company were trying to design recorders to compete with the likes of Leevers Rich and EMI though already Studer were coming into the market, the TRD was designed with the BBC style layout in mind (Single meter reading for stereo recorders). The problem was the machine was not to the same build quality as its rivals and as TRD were trying to sell to the likes of the BBC who already used some of the best recorders in the world, the TRD machine was not set to make any great changes. There were only small numbers of these machines made, due to their lack of professional quality, many of them have been thrown away.

The recorder up for sale makes an excellent addition to any collectors recorders collection, the new owner of this machine will be able to say they own one of the very few left in existance, this recorder is not in working condition and as of such is sold as is.
