 This is a compact reel to reel tape recorder, lightweight and built with quality in mind with the three motor system and the three head system, the recorder offers high speed winding and the ability to be able to listen to the recording on the tape whilst recording to check for sound levels and such. These ,machines are very versatile as it uses the most common tape speeds of 7.1/2 and 3.3./4, it's also 1/4 track which means you can play 1/2 track tapes on this machine, with the dual output control, you can also play mono tapes making this machine very handy for tape transfers or for the enthusiast who wishes to get into reel to reel analogue recording.

 This recorder comes with a full reel of used Ampex tape which unlike the 456 series, does not shed, this recorder has been serviced and has had a new capstan belt installed, the recorder is in exceptional condition as can be seen from the photographs.
