£425 Dolby 363 noise reduction
   

 This is a professional noise reduction unit from Dolby, designed to be used with master tape recorders, the Dolby SR and Dolby A system reduce the background hiss of the recording giving a crystal clear master which would them be fit to transfer to CD. These devices were very expensive and are very sought after, this particular unit was bolted to a Studer A810, the A810 Signal to noise was around 65dB at 15 ips, the Dolby unit would push this to over 100dB (CD players are somewhere around 90dB).
