Sony TC645 reel to reel

This compact reel to reel is ideal for those who wish to convert their old tapes to CD or for that beginner who wishes to get into the analogue recording side, built to a high standard, this recorder is one of Sony's later machines which features the ferrite head system, the advantage of these is that the heads are very hard to wear out, as you will see below from the pictures,  the ferrite heads are extremely robust, more so than the glass heads found in other machines. Built with three heads and three motors, this recorder offers the professional touch found in the larger studio recorders, with the logic control, the machine can be controlled remotely, designed to operate with different manufactures of tape, the machine has a bias and EQ setting to improve dynamic ranges and better signal to noise ratios.

The recorder is in a brushed aluminium finish with the nice black trims on the front and the wooden side panels to finish off this fine machine, the operation of the recorder is very quiet thanks to the three motor system, the machine interfaces with the most common of audio connectors, the Phono or RCA, it also has the option of the 5 pin din found on older Fi-Hi equipment, the machine is capable of recording from a microphone as well.
