EL3510 (Philips) 1952

New Page 1

Built in 1955, this was Philips first high seller recorder, the machine was considerably cheaper than the EL3530 (from 1953) at approximately £41. The recorder had a poor frequency response of 150Hz-6KHz, but its simple one control for tape operation and the cheap build made this a good seller. This little gem runs very well, though many of these recorders require new cork clutches as the old material disintegrates and the take-up reel fails to pick up the tape in play mode.
